The first supercomputer center opened in Armenia

The first supercomputer center in Armenia was opened in Yerevan’s “Engineering City”: it was created by the French Atos, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of high-power computers.

- The computer runs on processors with a capacity of 26 thousand cores (for comparison, the most modern PCs rarely use more than 16 cores).

- This is the only computer of its kind at this level in the entire Eastern Partnership region. With the help of new equipment, it will be possible to conduct modern research on big data, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, etc.

- The Charles Aznavour Supercomputer Center will also train highly qualified specialists, who will then share their experience and knowledge with other scientific and educational centers.
